The 18th National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament featured 16 schools competing in the tournament at Koshien. In the championship game Touhou High School (Aichi) defeated Ichinomiya Central High School (Aichi) by a score of 5 - 2.

The National High School Baseball Championship, held in the summer, was canceled due to war.
