1938 Central American and Caribbean Games

The 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games were the 4th Central American Games. They were held from February 11 through February 23, 1938 in Ciudad de Panamá, Panamá.
Cuba won its fourth straight title, with a 5-1 record. Agapito Mayor took the headlines with a 4-0 record, the only pitcher in the history of the event to post such a record. Natilla Jimenez got Cuba's other win, a shutout over El Salvador in which Jimenez also homered.
Panama won Silver with a 4-2 performance; they had the top contact hitter (E. Lanuza, .556) and top home run threat (O. Arleuwite, 2) in their second straight Silver Medal performance.
Nicaragua (4-2) won Bronze, followed by 
Puerto Rico (4-2), the only team to beat Cuba this year. 
Mexico was 3-3 to finish 5th. 
Venezuela (1-5) was 6th, followed by last-place El Salvador (0-6).
