Calling Bill Bergen a mediocre hitter is an insult to mediocre hitters.

After posting a lifetime OPS+ of about 120 over the first 10 seasons of his career, and then going from 126 (2006), 88 (2007) and 32 (2008) through what should be his best years makes me think there must be something seriously wrong with him, like Lou Gehrig's Disease or some severe bipolar stuff going on. Or is his knee simply just that bad now? I really feel bad for the guy.

There are some infamous mediocre hitters on these lists, such as Mario Mendoza and Bill Bergen. Tony Pena's OPS+ of 7 is rather striking as well.
