Looking at it that way, I'm sure the Cubbies are much better off with Kendall, who has at least played on a number of playoff teams. For whatever reason, Barrett just wasn't fitting in with the Cubs anymore. The total lack of offense from Kendall might be an okay tradeoff in this case.
