		<description>I don&#039;t know what the alltime record is, but the 1906 Cubs had a *12* game stretch in which they allowed no more than 2 runs in any game, In fact, from 26 August to 1 September, they had a 7-game streak; on 2 Sept., they lost a game, 5-2; on 3 Sept., they started the streak of 12 games that went through the 16th. So that&#039;s 19 games out of 20.</description>
