		<description>I don&#039;t think Kingman was blackballed.  By the end of his career he was a guy who didn&#039;t play defense, didn&#039;t do much of anything except pop an occasional HR, and was kind of a jerk to boot.  Sure, if he was a nicer guy, &lt;i&gt;maybe&lt;/i&gt; he gets another chance, but who needs a DH with a .255 OBP?  35 HR or not, he wasn&#039;t a good player at that point.

Now Barry Bonds, he got blackballed.</description>

		<description>While Kingman was one of the worst hitters ever, however, the guy could mash.  I always believed he was black balled bv MLB as he would have hit 500 homers had his career not ended in 1987.  His record of 35 homers for a player in his last season will stand for a long time.</description>
