		<description>Worst of all time?  I can&#039;t see that at all.  He certainly hasn&#039;t performed up to expectations, but he&#039;s been alright and still has time to add value.  There are probably also benefits to his signing which are not directly related to his performance (marketing in Japan, signing Okajima).</description>

		<description>I wrote a post recently but never published it about how Matsuzaka is the worst free-agent signing of all time. He cost the Red Sox $100 million in cash (posting fee + salary) plus a bunch of other millions in contract perks. His inability to go deep into games really hurts the team by having to pull a lot more innings out of the bullpen, who are lesser pitchers to start with and also have to be used too much.</description>
