Mercy! This is quite the baseball puzzle. I’ve been kicking myself for not seeing the baseball tie-in to Sudoku (9 rows = 9 positions), but this one is beyond the pale. I haven’t seen the ESPN Sudoku book, but they’ve been pushing it pretty hard.
