In the Yankees 3 wins they outscored the Pirates 38-3. In the 4 Pirate wins they edged the Yankees 24-17 (winning by 2/1/3/1 runs in order). Berra, Mantle, and Richardson combined for 5 homers and 31 RBIs, outslugging the entire Pirates team.

Is Richardson the only player on the losing team to earn MVP honors?
