In that Web 2.0 spirit, I'll point out that I've got a blog going over at www.metaforian.blogspot.com, which does some similar sorts of things that you do here at Stat of the Day, except with a Mets slant. Any input/corrections/critiques you or your readers have is welcome.

I wholeheartedly agree. Please don't take the once-in-a-while correction as criticism -- to the contrary, if I offer a correction or qualification now and then it's because I'm reading this highly entertaining blog with deserved attention.

By the way, one of the things I love about blogging is the ease with which readers can add/correct information. Our collective intellectual resources are certainly vastly greater than my own. I try hard to write complete and correct posts, but mistakes do happen from time to time.

Excellent points, folks.

The reason they didn't come up on the search is because the site hasn't yet been updated to designate Gwynn and Ripken as HOFers. I'm not sure if that will happen soon or during the offseason. (I just contribute to this blog!)

In your HOF list, don't forget the just-inducted Tony Gwynn.
