  7. We did this on the Usenet newsgroup rec.sport.baseball in April 1992, in the thread, Spanning the Names. You might want to look at what we came up with in that long-vanished era before baseballreference. We took it up again on the statlg-l mailing list in February 2002 and came up with

    Jerry Manuel Lee Thomas Gorman Thomas John Denny Doyle Alexander Cole Liniak and
