  3. Dallas Green trivia: He won the World Series in the only year he ever managed a team for 162 games.

I happen to not be a Dallas Green fan, and know it’s misleading…but it’s still great trivia.

  5. i have begun to compile some very interesting
stats–the story started with a question.

where the Bob Gibsons’ and the Jim Palmers’ of
    yesteryear?

are we really producing better pitchers or are worse off now and why?

The “Bigs”dont seem to have an answer but several doctors I’m working with on the project have offered up some valuable insights.

    Pitch counts,trength training,diet control,
and an array of other things the professional have conjured up dont seem to be yielding any
positive results–well maybe a few, but not many. Otherwise, we’d have pitchers coming out our ying yang!

stay tuned folks. i ll be back in a bit with some very provocative thoughts on whats going.

    bye now.

  6. is it possible that Select baseball is not helping fuel the majors with top prospects.

some indicators now show that “late bloomers” are faring much better than those who started too young.

    wonder whats going on?

burn-out, over-use, injuries at an early age?
I know this, Cy Young and the older record holders never played Select–it didn’t exsist.

  9. I caught a Barry Bonds Homerun on September 24, 1995 at the Stick. It was a 385 ft. dinger in the bottom of the first. How would I find out what # this homerun was in his total career HR’s?? I still have the actual ball and a home run receipt from guest services as well as a signed ball the team sent me for catching the HR. Value?
