Transactions 

Before 1964 Season: Signed by the Baltimore Orioles as an amateur free agent.

December 1, 1970: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles with Enzo Hernandez, Tom Phoebus, and Al Severinsen to the San Diego Padres for Pat Dobson and Tom Dukes. Fred Beene returned to original teams on May 16, 1971.

May 16, 1971: Sent by the San Diego Padres to the Baltimore Orioles to complete an earlier deal made on December 1, 1970. The San Diego Padres sent Pat Dobson and Tom Dukes to the Baltimore Orioles for Tom Phoebus, Al Severinsen, Fred Beene, and Enzo Hernandez. Fred Beene returned to original teams on May 16, 1971.

January 19, 1972: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles to the New York Yankees for a player to be named later. The New York Yankees sent Dale Spier (minors) (April 10, 1972) to the Baltimore Orioles to complete the trade.

April 26, 1974: Traded by the New York Yankees with Tom Buskey, Steve Kline, and Fritz Peterson to the Cleveland Indians for Chris Chambliss, Dick Tidrow, and Cecil Upshaw.
