    Yimi Garcia (LAD): Garcia underwent Tommy John surgery and is expected to miss the entire 2017 season. (Elbow)
    Steven Wright (BOS): Wright is recovering from a shoulder injury but is expected to be ready for the start of the 2017 regular season. (Shoulder)
    Aaron Nola (PHI): Nola is recuperating from a platelet-rich plasma treatment for a low-grade sprain of the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow and a flexor sprain in his forearm but is expected to be ready for the opening series against the Reds. (Elbow)
    Steve Pearce (TOR): Pearce underwent surgery to repair damaged flexor tendons in his right elbow in September and his status for the season opener against the Orioles is unclear. (Elbow)
    Jake Diekman (TEX): Diekman is expected to miss at least the first half of the 2016 season as he recovers from ulcerative colitis. (Illness)
